Unique shops and galleries, quaint cafes and diverse eateries fill the Victorian-styled downtown area, which also boasts numerous historic buildings and museums. Using its historic roots, Holland showcases its focus on the arts through many annual festivals, celebrations and events. With so much to do, it is easy to spend a day in Holland – browsing the shops, enjoying beautiful city parks and touring local attractions.

Holland also features an array of outdoor activities that allow visitors to take advantage of acres of sugar sand beaches, miles of biking or hiking trails, golf courses and access to Lake Macatawa and Lake Michigan.

May is a prime time to visit Holland, as the city hosts its world famous Tulip Time Festival, during which more than six million tulips burst into bloom. Filled with parades, food, arts & crafts and more special events, Tulip Time truly celebrates the area’s Dutch heritage. Additional cultural highlights including Dutch WinterFest, featuring a European open market and a visit from Sinterklaas, as well as locations such as Dutch Village and Windmill Island help tell the story of Holland’s deep history and strong cultural ties.

More than 2.5 million annual visitors are drawn to the unique atmosphere of Holland each year. Whether looking for shopping, cultural appreciation or just plain fun, there is something in Holland for you, no matter the time of year.
